Job Summary

The Repair Determination Inspector conducts detailed inspections to assess damage or defects on aircraft components, using specialized knowledge to evaluate reparability, repair options, and costs.

Job Responsibilities

Inspectors perform preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections on civil aviation articles, following current technical data, manufacturer’s instructions, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, industry standards, and other acceptable data.

• Ensure familiarity with inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools, and equipment within their responsibility area.
• Maintain proficiency in inspection aids and ensure inspection tools and equipment are in proper working order and calibrated.
• Understand current specifications regarding inspection tolerances, limitations, and procedures established by the manufacturer.
• Perform and record inspections accurately, ensuring all records are properly executed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• Professional qualification (Diploma or Certificate) in engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical).
• Minimum of 2 years experience in inspection processes.
• Knowledge of C7 rating and ATA 72.
