Job summary

NETWORK RAIL in London seeks aMaintenance role to implement safe systems of work and ensure safe, efficient delivery of tasks. The role involves leading a team, coordinating work and maintaining safety standards.

Experience in permanent way inspection, faulting, maintenance and renewal is essential, along with strong communication skills. NVQ Level 1/2 or equivalent knowledge is preferred, and driving may be required. Inner London allowance applies.

Qualifications

  • Experience of arranging safe systems of work.
  • Knowledge of how to organise and control the safe and efficient delivery of work.
  • Able to demonstrate, promote and embed safe working behaviours within the team.
  • Able to lead, motivate and direct a team.
  • Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Knowledge of permanent way inspection, faulting, maintenance and renewal techniques.
  • Conversant with standards, procedures and instructions.
  • Hold and retain competencies relevant to this post, required by business need.
  • Ideally hold (or be working towards) an NVQ level 1 or 2 in a relevant subject or have attained an appropriate level of knowledge through equivalent relevant experience.
  • Able and willing to drive vehicles as required by business need.

This is a Full-Time Permanent

Salary -£38,482 (plus an Inner London Allowance of £3,300 per annum)

Grade - Maintenance

*Please Note: There may be a requirement to work on call in this role if you opt to take the Standard Maintenance contract.
