You will make an impact in the following ways :
- Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products
- Diagnose and repair engines
- Disassemble, inspect, and clean engines and/or engine components
- Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
- Maintain work area and tools for cleanliness and proper operation
- Assist with completion of required documentation, such as work completed documentation, timesheets, warranty claims, and quality forms, via handwritten forms or business system input screens
- Ensure adherence to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, and report any issues/incidents to their supervisor
Responsibilities
- Health and Safety Fundamentals: Champion and model proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting, and participating in actions to improve health and safety, contributing to an injury-free workplace.
- Diagnostics Application: Translate customer complaints to develop troubleshooting plans; troubleshoot issues following guided workflows, procedures, and specialized equipment such as mechanical and electronic service tools; diagnose computer software to isolate failed components for successful repair; validate repairs by duplicating complaints; document troubleshooting results in business systems.
- Electronic Service Tool Application: Identify required hardware and software tools for service; utilize electronic tools to maintain or diagnose issues; interpret results to determine next steps.
- Engine Systems Interactions: Analyze interactions of electrical and mechanical systems using tools, service publications, and measurements for efficient diagnosis and repair.
- Product Repair and Maintenance: Repair and maintain mechanical/electrical products following guidelines; disassemble and reassemble engines or power generators; inspect and replace parts following re-use guidelines; perform damage checks to restore equipment to pre-failure condition.
- Service Documentation: Create and verify customer, equipment, and technical information; capture data using service tools; document work in the service management system.
- Technical Escalation: Gather technical issue information; utilize data management tools; escalate issues when necessary; document troubleshooting steps for seamless transition and timely resolution.

Qualifications
Additional Information
- Full-time position, 38 hours per week
- Overtime as required, with penalty rates for hours above 38
- All safety equipment, PPE, and uniforms provided and laundered
- Domestic relocation may be offered for the right candidate
- Valid local driver’s license preferred
Experience
- Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Cert III)
- Intermediate workshop or field service experience
- Intermediate knowledge of or experience with engine products
