Job Description

Purpose

This role involves performing functions related to cGMP manufacturing within our biologics production facility. Responsibilities include working with engineers on setup and calibration, rework, and quality testing of parts, components, and final materials. The role requires using sophisticated programs like LIMS, SAP, and automated control systems to collect and analyze data, enabling on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment. The candidate may also assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  1. Shipping finished materials
  2. Maintaining inventory levels
  3. Sampling of in-process and raw materials
  4. Running glass washer / autoclave
  5. Buffer / media preparation
  6. Equipment preparation (CIP/SIP)
  7. Cell culture (from vial thaw to production scale)
  8. Column chromatography
  9. Tangential flow filtration

Qualifications

Applicants should have:

  • An associate's degree in science (or equivalent experience) with 2+ years relevant experience, or a BS with 1+ years relevant experience, or a BS in Engineering with minimal or no experience.
  • The ability to apply acquired skills and follow company policies to complete tasks.
  • Experience with semi-routine assignments and the ability to recognize when deviations are necessary.
  • Following established procedures with guidance on new tasks.
