A consulting firm is seeking an experienced IT professional to maintain and support network and communications infrastructure for NATO. Candidates must have recent CCNA Routing and Switching experience and demonstrate knowledge of international military environments. The role includes maintaining databases, supporting asset management, and troubleshooting network issues while traveling to international locations.

MUST HAVE RECENT CCNA Routing and Switching experience and/or course
Requirements and skills:
• ITIL Foundation Certificate
• CISCO Certified Network Associate or Interconnecting CISCO Network Devices 1 & 2 Certification
• Satellite Radio Communication Systems
• Terrestrial Radio Communication Systems
• Communications/Media Delivery Systems (IPTV, VOIP, VTC, AV, etc.)
• Harris Radio 117F and/or 117G experience/knowledge
• VTC & AV systems experience/knowledge
• SEMARCOMM+ / SEMARCIS experience/knowledge
• INMARSAT based systems experience/knowledge
• IPTV / Digital signage experience/knowledge
• Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements
• Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO, ACT & NCI Agency
Activities
- Maintain network and communications infrastructure in support of Allied Maritime Command and the United Kingdom
- Maintain databases, spreadsheets, and drawings in support of CSU Northwood configuration management activities
- Maintain and perform asset management audits relevant to systems assigned
- Diagnose and rectify both physical and logical network issues within and outside of MARCOM HQ
- Travel to overseas locations as part of the Standing Naval Force Operational Handover team to install and set to work TACSAT and or SEMARCOMM+/SEMARCIS as directed
- Travel to overseas locations as part of the Standing Naval Force Operational Handover team to install and set to work the connectivity to the deployed BI-SC kits as directed
- Manage the maintenance and support of ICT infrastructure relevant to the NATO COMMCEN comprising HF & VLF systems
- Manage the maintenance and support of Cornet matrix switches
- Assist with planning and supporting/implementing assigned project work packages
- Utilise procedures, tools, and techniques for monitoring and managing the performance of Information and Communications Technology Platforms and provide reports as required
- Install operate, and maintain assigned Information and Communications Technology Platforms
- Support the integrity of assigned Information and Communications Technology Platforms, support IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM), Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery Plans
- Liaison with other internal CSU staff, external NCIA Service Lines, and other third party customers and technical organisations as required
- Respond to, and implement solutions for, ITSM tickets relevant to the area of work
- Perform maintenance of assigned systems/services
- Stay abreast of technological developments relevant to the area of work
- Take the initiative to investigate and resolve technical issues in a systematic approach
- Advise his/her superiors and recommend technical solutions
- Work on own initiative with limited supervision
- Deputize for higher-grade staff, when required
- Perform other duties as may be required
