Job summary

Bridgend College is recruiting a Technician in STEM to support the delivery team, prepare materials and maintain workshops and equipment for effective training. The role requires an NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or equivalent, plus experience in a manufacturing or maintenance environment including CAD/CAM, additive manufacturing, laser cutting and electromechanical systems.

Job purpose: To support the delivery team, prepare materials and teaching resources and to maintain workshops, equipment and resources in order to assist in the delivery of efficient and effective training.

You will have knowledge and experience of working within a relevant STEM environment, including good practice and relevant occupational competence, along with a NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship in Engineering or equivalent. Experience of working in a manufacturing or maintenance environment, to include: Additive layer manufacturing, CADCAM, Laser cutting and Electromechanical systems.
