Job description

Technician I - Quality

General Purpose:
Responsible for supporting the quality processes across Receiving, Shipping, and Repair teams. The Quality Technician I will be responsible for ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications. This position will focus on the development and implementation of quality control programs, monitoring product quality, and identifying and resolving any non-conformances throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
• Support the overall Quality Department
o Assist with various tasks to ensure the quality standards and processes are consistently met.
• Investigate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
o Identify issues and understand their root causes.
o Document findings and notify relevant stakeholders.
o Analyze the situation and work towards resolving the issue efficiently.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI)
o Develop a checklist for inspection.
o Inspect raw materials, equipment, assembly processes, and the final product.
o Document results and provide recommendations based on findings.
• Execute Engineering Change Notices (ECNs)
o Collaborate with stakeholders to update part numbers on parts and in the SAP system.
• Knowledge of Industry Standards:
o Familiarity with quality standards like ISO
o Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and handling hazardous materials, if applicable.
o Knowledge of Safety Standards

Essential Functions:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other software programs
• Ability to interact frequently with others in a professional, courteous manner
• Ability to communicate orally and written in English
• Able to complete responsibilities in a timely, professional and quality manner
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot defects and inconsistencies.
• Analytical Skills: The ability to evaluate and assess the quality of products.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and suggest corrective actions.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of product specifications and quality standards.

Education, Training, and Skills Required:
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or a similar field is preferred.
• Familiarity with Inspection Tools: Knowledge of measurement and inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and testing equipment.
• SAP experience: 1 year preferred.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use of hands and fingers to handle and feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand and walk. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
