12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Our High Peak site is keen to recruit technicians with defined technical knowledge in a lab-based support role. Working under some supervision, you’ll be able to carry out specific tasks as requested and in line with established procedures. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global company and develop a career with a world-leading contract research organization!

What You’ll Be Doing
  1. Assist in the production of microarray slides.
  2. Routine culture of established cell lines.
  3. Maintain quality control procedures.
  4. Assist with assay development and refinement as required.
  5. Participate in continuous improvement activities related to cell culture.
  6. Assist with the organization of equipment servicing.
  7. SHE - Adhere to health and safety procedures.
  8. Responsibility for the cleanliness and organization of the Core Technology laboratory, including liquid nitrogen stocks, carbon dioxide cylinders, cleaning and maintenance of cell culture hoods, incubators, water baths, aliquoting, and waste disposal.
Skills and Experience
  • A levels including Biology and/or Chemistry.
  • Relevant scientific degree (e.g., Applied Biology / Applied Chemistry) - desirable.
  • Industrial placement experience.
  • Cell culture experience.
  • Microarray technology experience - desirable.
  • Full training will be provided.
