Job Description

As a technician, you will work within a shift team based on the Late, Earlies, and Night (LEN) pattern within the SCAT Operations department.

You will ensure compliance with customer and legislative requirements, always considering Quality standards, EHS, and Sustainability.

You will apply knowledge of internal techniques and standards to assist with the overall improvement of products and processes to gain a competitive advantage.

Your responsibilities include sampling catalysts, which involves oven aging of parts, preparing samples, testing on rigs, removing samples, processing data (using predefined macros), maintaining equipment, and participating in team duties such as 5S, ordering, and continuous improvement projects.

Your Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare samples and conduct testing according to predefined quality standards and schedules.
  2. Follow operation, maintenance, and calibration procedures daily; liaise with trainers, Shift Leaders, and Line Management to ensure compliance and quality.
  3. Clarify any special test requirements with trainers or Shift Leaders.
  4. Maintain accurate testing records using the iCAT log.
  5. Identify and rectify anomalies in results under the guidance of the Shift Leader.
Requirements for the Role:
  • Effective communication skills to convey information clearly and engage audiences.
  • Ability to contribute actively to team success.
  • Strong quality orientation, with attention to detail and process checking.
  • High work standards, responsibility, and accountability.
  • Awareness of Core Quality Tools and standards such as IATF.
  • Relevant work experience in a technical field is desirable.
