Introduction

The technical role for Amwins Global Risks is a critical part of our client Services Team, ensuring that our policyholders, Underwriters and Brokers provided with first class service. You will have a deep understanding of how Amwins Global Risks operates and services its customers and be part of our continuous improvement culture.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring treaty accounts received from client on time and in line with slip conditions.
  • Checking accounts to ensure Terms & Conditions (commissions, deductions, taxes, premium & claim reserves) applied correctly.
  • Processing accounts and ensuring treaty closings reflect the clients’ accounts and correct reinsurer deductions.
  • Prepare portfolio transfer and profit commission/Sliding Scale commission adjustment documentation on behalf of clients.
  • Submission of treaty accounts via the Insurers Market Repository as necessary updating Total Objects system records upon completion.
  • Liaising with clients to obtain required information as may apply (e.g. outstanding loss reserves, loss bordereau).
  • Ensure FCA regulations are complied with at all times.
  • Maintaining electronic files in good order
  • Maintaining high standard Treaty Statistical Reports as may be applicable.
  • Gather information from electronic files and use the data to complete standard internal/external document templates.
  • Respond to routine inquiries in a timely manner, identifying urgent issues and ensuring they are dealt with promptly.
  • Put together statistics and reports for key stakeholders.
  • Perform quality control checks on other technicians work as required.
  • Liaise and build relationships with international account handlers in our London & Netherlands Broking divisions, clients and underwriters.
  • Submit documents to relevant stakeholders using bespoke systems (DXC, Xchanging)
  • Provide resolution to technical queries raised by the team members, clients and underwriters.
Ideal skills/attributes
  • Interest in insurance / reinsurance

  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills, especially Excel & Word.
  • A-Level educated as a minimum, preferably in possession of the CII qualification, or a desire to qualify.
