We are actively searching for a Technician Demonstrator - Plumbing and Gas to join our Construction team at our Wirral Waters Campus for 35 hours per week. We will offer a salary of up to £32,035 per year plus many added incentives including:

About the Job
  • Plan, prepare and present structured demonstrations aligned to the lecturers taught practical sessions that underpin specific skills to groups of students and deliver bespoke demonstrations to smaller groups within a curriculum area.
  • Flexibility within the role is essential maximising support and supervision across all curriculum areas within the construction department guiding students on safe practice i.e. stacking materials and using lifting equipment demonstrating the logistics of transporting goods safely with fundamental elements of Health & Safety.
  • Maintain the workshop environment ensuring the area is free from hazards so students, staff and visitors are safe and free from potential hazards.
    Conduct evaluation reports and update risk assessments monitoring the condition of equipment and providing guidance around safe practice when entering or working within the workshops and store areas.
About You
  • Minimum level 2 literacy/English qualification, or willing to obtain within an agreed timeframe
  • Minimum level 2 numeracy/maths qualification, or willing to obtain within an agreed timeframe
  • Level 2 technical or vocational qualification in Plumbing & Gas or extensive industry/site experience
