We are seeking a motivated Technician Assistant to join our client's dynamic team in the Westlakes area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to develop their skills and gain hands-on experience in a 12+ month contract, working 37 hours per week.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the delivery of assigned programmes of work to support the overall delivery of analytical results to time and quality
  2. Comply with the laboratory quality management systems to support accreditation
  3. Follow processes and procedures to enable safe working practices
  4. Assist the analytical team to provide a consistent and efficient level of service
  5. Assist in the waste management of samples and other consumables
  6. Carry out routine laboratory cleaning and maintenance tasks
  7. Take responsibility for personal continued development
  8. Ensure compliance with legislation and company policies and procedures to meet appropriate standards


Required Skills:

  • Science GCSEs at grade A to C or equivalent
  • Experience in analytical chemistry (preferred but not essential)
  • Good organisational skills, high attention to detail
  • Awareness of conventional and radiological safety
  • IT literate
