Job summary

JBT Marel is seeking an Assembly Technician for our Adlington, Macclesfield site in Cheshire, UK. The role focuses on high-quality mechanical assembly, reading drawings and pneumatic circuits, and on-site commissioning with customers.

You will be responsible for assembling sub and main components, performing PDI checks, and supporting machine testing prior to delivery. There is a strong emphasis on teamwork, reliability, and meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications

• Time served with C&G or a modern apprenticeship.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and pneumatic circuits.
• Experience assembling sub and main assemblies.

Assembly Technician

Adlington, Macclesfield, Cheshire, UK - Full-time (39 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

Your Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team in Adlington, Macclesfield.

What You'll Be Doing

• Ensure assembly and build quality is of the highest possible standard.
• Ensure machinery is fully PDI'd and tested prior to delivery.
• Attending site for machine commissioning and breakdowns.
• Being self-disciplined, proactive, and hard working.
• High degree of interpersonal skills and communication skills.
• Working to deadlines and delivery dates.
• Ensure production instructions and quality standards are met/exceeded.
• Escalate any build anomalies to relevant persons.
• On-site commissioning and customer training.

What You'll Bring

Principally be responsible for the mechanical assembly of all sub and main assemblies.

Be able to read and understand engineering drawings and pneumatic circuits.

Manage and keep your electronic parts lists accurate.

Can carry out mechanical surveys, repairs, and servicing of Proseal equipment.

General engineering, marking out, drilling, and tapping.

Carry out work on-site, or off-site as requested and agreed.

Qualifications:

Time served with C&G or modern apprenticeship.
