Technician 2 in Music Technology and Music Performance

Salary: £24,434 - £25,847 pro rata (Salary dependent on qualifications and experience)

Contract: Term time only, Permanent

This is an exciting opportunity for a positive and forward-thinking professional to join our thriving College in a focused yet friendly and supportive small team of lecturers and support staff. This role will support teaching across both Music Performance and Digital courses and help to manage the studio.

We are looking for a technician to join the Humanities faculty. All technicians are involved with student support and work closely with staff and students as part of a collegiate and supportive environment. Many subjects in the Humanities faculty are expanding, and the successful candidate will liaise with lecturers and support staff across the faculty.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop their passion for education within a supportive team, and will be expected to:

  1. Provide outstanding support for lecturers to facilitate effective teaching and learning
  2. Manage the upkeep and maintenance of stock and equipment, ordering items as appropriate
  3. Work closely with students to support their progress
  4. Become involved in enrichment activities for students and/or adults by supporting or running workshops

Candidates should have a commitment to providing high-quality learning to enable all learners to achieve their full potential. The ability to truly work as a team player is also essential. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills.
