This position is to assist the smooth running of the site investigation sector through close co-ordination of operations with the other team members. The role will be both office and site based. The main working location is Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, but regular travelling around the UK (mainly south east) will be necessary, although not usually, working away from home this may be required. This is a full time post working 9.00am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining a clean working environment within the equipment stores, including ordering sampling consumables and PPE.
  • Manual handling including restocking materials on shelves, including bags up to 25kg, sample storage and disposal.
  • Assisting in loading and unloading site vehicles.
  • Assist site works as and when necessary, including delivery and collection of materials/equipment/plant, shallow pitting, reinstatement, specialist in-situ testing and general Engineer assistance.
  • Assisting the geosciences team with equipment maintenance, repair and calibration.
  • Assisting with vehicle checks.
  • In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may be reasonably required by the Company. All necessary training and equipment for the person to undertake their role will be provided by RSK.

  • Full UK driving licence (manual transmission). Ideally with experience of driving box vans, but not essential.
  • GCSE Grade C or higher (or equivalent) in English and Maths
