Job summary

A leading service provider is seeking a Technician for the University of Wishaw Hospital. You will be responsible for carrying out specialist maintenance tasks, including boiler servicing and repairs, as well as preventive and reactive maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems. Ideal candidates will hold relevant mechanical qualifications and have experience in plumbing and air conditioning. Qualifications

  • Hold a Mechanical City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent/other qualifications in Building Service or engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge and previous experience working within a mechanical and plumbing role.
  • Previous experience with electrical systems and air conditioning.

Technician – University of Wishaw Hospital, Wishaw ML2 0DP

Permanent/Full Time – 37 Hours per week

Salary: £41,424.00 per annum plus benefits (depending on experience) and Serco benefits. Working Monday to Friday.

Main Accountabilities
  • Carrying out specialist work where required, including boiler servicing and repairs, testing and validation of decontamination equipment.
  • Carrying out planned preventive and reactive maintenance to a wide range of plant and equipment covering electrical, mechanical and building services. Using technical electronic test equipment, measuring, recording and interpreting readings.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Hold a Mechanical City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent/other qualifications with Building Service or engineering discipline.
  • Knowledge and previous experience of working within a mechanical and plumbing role.
  • Previous experience of working with electrical and air conditioning.
  • Ability to concentrate on tasks and think clearly under pressure.
