Job summary

Auto Skills UK is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a professional dealership workshop in Stratford-upon-Avon. The role offers a basic salary up to £45,000 with OTE up to £48,000, a modern workshop, training, and clear progression.

You will service, maintain and repair vehicles, using diagnostics to identify faults and ensuring work meets safety and manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• At least three years' experience as Vehicle Technician/Automotive Technician/Car Mechanic.
• Your own tools and toolbox, full manual UK licence.
• Right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair work.
• Perform defined mechanical and technical operations.

The Role: Vehicle Technician

As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining vehicle safety, reliability and performance while delivering work to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repair work.
• Completing a range of defined mechanical and technical operations.
• Using your technical knowledge and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve vehicle faults.
• Ensuring all work meets relevant safety requirements and manufacturer standards.
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed.
• Working efficiently to maintain high standards of productivity and workmanship.
• Contributing to a professional, supportive workshop environment.

Skills and Qualifications Required

To be considered for this Vehicle Technician vacancy, you must have:

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• At least three years' experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Car Mechanic.
• Your own tools and toolbox.
• A full manual UK driving licence, subject to licence checks.
• The right to work in the UK. Unfortunately, sponsorship is not available.
• A valid MOT Tester licence would be advantageous but is not essential.
