Job summary

Auto Skills UK in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician/Vehicle Mechanic to join a busy dealership environment. You will deliver high-quality servicing, maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.

The role offers a competitive salary (£36,000 base, OTE £43,000), with a 5-day week and Saturdays on a rota, plus benefits such as a pension and company car scheme. You will own your tools, have NVQ3, 2 years' experience, and a valid UK driving licence; sponsorship is not

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is essential.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic / Motor Vehicle Technician.
• MOT Licence desirable but not essential.
• Must own your tools and toolbox.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence required (subject to licence checks).
• Right to work in the UK is essential – sponsorship is not available.
• Team player with a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repair work efficiently.
• Performing a variety of diagnostic and technical operations.
• Completing assembly operations to manufacturer standards.
• Ensuring all work complies with safety and quality procedures.
• Maintaining accurate job cards and service documentation.
• Providing excellent customer service and technical advice.
• Working closely with colleagues to maximise workshop efficiency.

Salary: £36,000 Basic Salary DOE | OTE £43,000

Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 18:00 & Saturdays on a rota (08:30 - 13:30)
