Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: Up to £40,000pa

Hours: 8.00 - 4.30 Weekdays, 8.00 - 12.00 Saturdays on rota

Lookers Volkswagen are recruiting for a Technician to join their friendly team in a fast-paced workshop environment. You will work alongside experienced technicians and play a vital role in carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.

Reporting to Service Manager Robert Wilson, you will receive ongoing support and opportunities for career progression, including manufacturer accredited schemes and EV training.

Our technicians are key to delivering first-class customer service. We welcome qualified Vehicle Technicians or experienced Mechanics, whether from dealer groups or independent garages.

Responsibilities include:

• Fitting number plates
• Performing checks according to manufacturer guidelines
• Fitting additional customer-requested accessories
• Conducting vehicle health checks and reporting further work needed

The ideal candidate will have:

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Motor industry experience
• A full UK driving licence

You should be self-motivated, supportive of your team, ambitious, eager to learn, and committed to high standards for all vehicles.
