Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (30-minute working time adjustment on a rota basis), 1 in 4 Saturdays on a rota basis

Salary: £48,000 OTE (including £30,000 to £42,000, dependant on experience, plus up to £6,000 bonus)

Lookers Mercedes Benz of Maidstone is recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join their workshop. You will work alongside experienced technicians, carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services, and performing additional repairs.

Reporting to Alex, the aftersales manager, you will receive ongoing support and access to training opportunities, including manufacturer accredited schemes and Hybrid & Electric training to advance your career.

Our technicians are vital to delivering first-class customer service. We welcome qualified Vehicle Technicians or experienced Mechanics from dealer groups or independent garages to apply.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
• Conduct vehicle services according to manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
• Perform additional repairs with customer approval
• Complete warranty repairs following manufacturer guidelines and proper documentation
• Road test vehicles to ensure faults are rectified
• Complete all relevant paperwork to a high standard

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have workshop experience, be self-motivated, ambitious, eager to learn, and able to work to high standards. A full UK driving license and NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification are required. An MOT license is a bonus.

Experience with the brand is advantageous but not essential, as full brand accreditation training can be provided.
