Overview

Job purpose

Reporting to the O&M Area Manager, you will be expected to deliver scheduled and unscheduled maintenance services to (but not limited to) Vestas V47 and V52 wind turbines. Knowledge of Vestas platforms will be a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Maintaining the highest levels of safety to comply with all health and safety requirements including the WTSR.
  • Attend and rectify faulted turbines in a timely manner. Partake in weekend on call rota.
  • Scheduled service in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines
  • Coordinating local spare part and consumable stock.
  • Attend and faulted turbines in a timely manner to, fault-finding, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair on all turbine systems, which will include mechanical, electrical and hydraulic assemblies and major components.
  • Proactive repair or component replacement to prevent complete failure or system downtime.
  • Ensuring the highest level of turbine availability
  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience and knowledge of the wind industry, particularly working with V47 and V52 turbines.
  • In-depth knowledge of wind turbine technology, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to fault find and problem solve.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong experience of managing risks and challenges of working in a wind turbine environment
  • High level of physical fitness and good health
  • Full UK driving licence.
