Your new job as an Insurance Technician will work for a Lloyd's Broking house, part of a larger Lloyd's Broking group handling Non-Marine, Marine, and Aviation risks worldwide. Due to growth in the Technical team, they are seeking a permanent Insurance Technician with Xchanging and Db/Cr note processing experience.
Your new role
Based in the City, your role as an Insurance Technician involves working for an established Lloyd's Broker. The company offers tailored insurance solutions and has access to international markets. Due to significant growth, a permanent position has arisen for someone with BDX, Xchanging, and premium processing experience.
Your responsibilities include preparing and processing premiums, claims, bordereaux, treaty statements, and related documentation. You will maintain the broking system, communicate with underwriters, cover-holders, clients, and Xchanging, and process claims transactions across systems. Your role within the Central Operations and Technical Team will involve processing BDX, handling Xchanging, and managing Debit/Credit notes via Novus. You will provide technical support by producing written and paid BDX, sending statements, performing credit control, and submitting LPANs.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience in a Technical operations role within a Broker, Insurer, or third-party provider like Xchanging is essential. Lloyd's/London Market experience, technical knowledge of binding authorities, line-slips, BDX, Xchanging systems, Excel, and understanding of the London, Lloyd's, and insurance markets' processes, terminology, and reporting are required.
