Technical Mobilisation Manager
London/National Role
£75,000
We are currently partnering with a leading FM Service provider who is currently looking for an experienced and technically astute Technical Mobilisation Manager to lead the mobilisation of new engineering management contracts across their growing portfolio. This role is critical in ensuring a seamless transition from contract award through to full operational readiness.

You'll act as the key interface between clients, internal teams, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance, operational effectiveness, and customer satisfaction are embedded from the outset. With a strong technical background, you'll play a central role in documentation, compliance, asset management, and operational setup.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the mobilisation, re-mobilisation, and de-mobilisation of hard FM contracts from award to steady state.
• Oversee statutory compliance, CAFM setup, asset validation, and initial PPM scheduling.
• Act as primary liaison for clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring that mobilisation milestones are delivered on time and within budget.
• Draft and implement Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) tailored to each site’s operational needs.
• Review and manage dilapidation reports and ensure asset conditions align with contract requirements.
• Lead and support policy reviews, ensuring operational alignment with corporate, H&S, and environmental standards.
• promote health & safety and statutory compliance from day one.
• Provide training, tools, and documentation to site teams during the mobilisation phase.
• Deliver regular reports and updates to the Smart Managed Solutions directorate and other senior stakeholders.
• Support 90-day post-start reviews and attend annual contract performance meetings.
Technical & Compliance Duties
• Mobilise hard FM maintenance teams and technical services, ensuring compliance with client expectations and statutory regulations.
• undertake Authorised Person tasks and responsibilities in a central support function when required.
• Evaluate technical proposals and supplier quotations, ensuring feasibility, minimal disruption to operations, and cost effectiveness.
• Collaborate with M&E partners and in-house FM teams to validate and sign off on completed work.
• Provide technical support to consultants and project teams on a wide range of engineering projects.
Requirements
• Proven experience in contract mobilisation or technical project management within the FM industry, particularly in hard services.
• Solid knowledge of compliance frameworks, asset management, and CAFM systems.
• Experience drafting operational procedures, reviewing building condition reports, and conducting policy gap analysis.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across geographically diverse sites.
• Resilient, adaptable, and solution-focused with strong attention to detail.
• Flexibility to travel within the UK as needed.
• A technical background and supporting qualifications in Electrical Engineering and / or Mechanical Engineering are highly desirable.
