Job description

Our client, a leading global AJ100 architectural studio based in central London, is seeking a technically-focused Urban Designer with over 10 years of experience for an Executive Architect role on a Middle East project.

Key skills, experience, and competencies:

  1. Part II qualification (or equivalent) plus a Master's in Urban Design.
  2. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; Revit is strongly preferred and advantageous. Additional skills include Adobe/Affinity, Microsoft Office, Rhino, and SketchUp.
  3. A sense of ownership, autonomy, and a strong understanding of process and due diligence are essential. Fluency in English is required.
  4. Experience in Detailed Master Planning (DMP) is essential; familiarity with post-DMP stages is a strong advantage. Candidates must demonstrate work at the master planning scale with an understanding of large-scale spatial planning.
  5. Main responsibilities include preparing technical reports to review compliance of architectural and landscape design proposals against the masterplan developed by the practice.
  6. Candidates should exhibit an appreciation for later design stages, including Schematics, Design Guidelines, and Design Regulations.
  7. An appreciation for precision and due diligence in managing files and drawings during the DMP stage is necessary. The team will provide training and knowledge transfer.
  8. Experience with Middle East projects would be advantageous.
