Job Description

As a Technical/Marketing Writer for the Payments business in the Commercial and Investment Bank (CIB), you’ll collaborate with a talented team of technical writers, developers, product owners, content strategists and designers dedicated to next-generation B2B digital products. You‘ll help elevate user engagement on our website for client developers by producing and editing top quality content that includes product descriptions, use cases, user guides and API documentation.

In addition, you’ll own important initiatives, drive innovative solutions to complex problems and collaborate with cross-functional teams. As a champion of inclusive design and customer experience, you’ll contribute to the continuing success of J.P. Morgan as a global leader in B2B payments.

Responsibilities

  • Work with product owners, content strategists, and developers to understand the content needs for the client developer website and deliver on those requirements.
  • Create and review product information, use cases, API documentation, etc., following our style guide.
  • Drive for clarity of writing, consistency in presentation and depth of detail across the suite of products.
  • Engage with designers, user researchers, information architects, project managers, platform owners and others, as needed to enhance user experience of the developer website.
  • Provide insights into the authoring tools, processes and metrics for improving the working efficiency and quality.
  • Contribute to the content guides and maintain the documentation process.

Requirements

  • A portfolio of product descriptions, case studies, marketing collateral and technical content examples that demonstrate clarity of style and voice.
  • Strong working knowledge of and experience documenting APIs.
  • Ability to quickly learn technical concepts and understand how products work.
  • Software development and/or technical support of complex systems.
  • Experience with tools such as Bitbucket and Jira—and methodologies, such as Agile/Scrum.
