Technical Writer

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team following several newly awarded contracts. The role involves developing technical documentation across multiple projects, tailored to individual client specifications. Content will cover a broad range of disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, environmental, and safety, all produced in alignment with each client's requirements.

Your Tasks:

1. Understand and interpret clients' technical specifications
2. Develop technical documents in line with client requirements
3. Participate in contract review meetings internally and with clients
4. Provide general contract support to the Project Manager
5. Prepare document transmittals and manage project document control
6. Interpret technical drawings such as P&IDs and schematics
7. Understand and apply relevant approval authority rules and regulations

Your Profile:

1. An engineering qualification is desirable
2. Extensive experience developing contract technical documentation
3. Proven ability to interpret client technical specifications
4. Strong working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office packages
5. Experience working with MoD contracts is advantageous
6. Familiarity with S1000D or similar standards is desirable
