The Work

Responsibilities

• The candidate will be a member of the Global Sustainment Courseware, Training, Technical Publication team and support programs based in the Rotary and Mission System Line of Business. Responsibilities include:
• Write, rewrite and/or edit technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Acquire subject knowledge by interviewing product developers and engineers, observing performance of production methods, and referring to technical specifications, modification kits, blueprints, engineering illustrations, schematics, and trade journals.
• Oversee preparation of illustrative materials and Illustrated Parts Breakdown material, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams and charts.
• Participate in project team meetings and meet deadlines as determined by project schedule.
• Conduct quality review of materials and participate in informal or formal procedure/content validations.
• This position may require occasional travel.
