This is a fixed-term, full-time position based at our site in Crumlin.

Role Overview:

The Technical Transfer Scientist will be responsible for Customisations and will be involved in the transfer and validation of new products at BBI Crumlin. The role requires working cross-functionally to support the transition of new products from design concept through to routine production. It involves implementing standardised work instructions and processes to ensure a consistent approach to technical transfers throughout BBI Crumlin. The role also supports continuous improvement activities at BBI Crumlin.

Role Requirements

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Working with the Commercial Technical Lead to support Customisation Projects, including writing proposals and protocols, generating costings, executing protocols, and supporting manufacture and testing.
• Supporting R&D in designing and developing suitable manufacturing and QC processes for transfer to Operations teams.
• Generating process documentation, including process FMEAs, Bills of Materials, transfer to production plans, pilot batch protocols, and reports.
• Assisting in the coordination of pilot batch activities and ensuring appropriate training plans are in place.
• Supporting practical aspects of transfer, including production support and QC testing.
• Supporting Capex submissions.
• Defining tool specifications.
• Executing validation activities to ensure customer and business needs are met in line with project plans and objectives.
• Supporting the preparation of Validation Master Plans, Summary Reports, and other documentation for validation exercises.
• Providing validation support and advice to other areas of the business as required.
• Ensuring project work complies with regulatory and company requirements.
• Maintaining good communication with the team and other departments and sites as appropriate.
• Meeting targets for project completion as defined by each project plan.
• Conducting and supporting BBI’s Continuous Improvement initiatives, activities, and events.
• Implementing appropriate Lean Six Sigma tools.
