Technical Trainer UK £38k - £45k per annum

Travel required with up to 2 weeks out of 4 staying overnight.

With a commitment to innovation, quality, and professional growth, our client is looking for an experienced Technical Trainer to help shape the future of signaling and track safety within the rail sector.

As a Technical Trainer you will be:
  1. Bringing your in-depth engineering knowledge and practical rail experience into an engaging and supportive training environment.
  2. Delivering high-quality, safety-critical training to engineers and operatives across the industry.
  3. Having experience in rail engineering, with a strong background in signaling and track safety.
  4. Confident in delivering technical training and assessments in both classroom and practical settings.
  5. Able to design and update training content to meet industry regulations and learner needs.
  6. Knowledgeable in current Network Rail standards and safety protocols.
  7. Ideally holding a recognised teaching or assessing qualification (e.g., AET, CAVA). Desirable but not essential.
As a successful Technical Trainer you will be able to demonstrate the following:
  1. Formal engineering qualifications, preferably within rail or electrical/mechanical disciplines.
  2. Proven experience in the UK rail industry, specifically within signaling and/or permanent way.
  3. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage varied audiences.
  4. Strong organisational skills, with attention to compliance and learner development.
  5. Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across training locations when required.
