National Grid is hiring an Overhead Lines Trainer reporting into our Technical Training Delivery Manager at our site at Ty Coch, South Wales.
As a Overhead Lines Trainer you will lead engaging Overhead training courses. Your responsibilities will include not only teaching but also collaborating on the design and development of innovative training programmes that utilise interactive blended learning solutions. You will play a key role in enhancing our training assets and facilities, working closely with subject matter experts to ensure our training meets the evolving needs of our workforce. You'll deliver training to apprentices, new hires and internal & external operational staff. You will also facilitate assessments and observations such as Trade Tests.
To thrive in this position, you should possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills, along with a background working on Wood Pole / Steel Tower Ovehead networks. Experience in coaching or mentoring others is a plus. Successful candidates will receive training to enhance their presentation and training skills.

The role will cover primarily the South Wales region, with occasional travel expected to other training centres such as Eakring, Taunton and Tipton, and operational sites across the UK. An increased amount of travel may be necessary during your initial period of development.
You will need a full UK driving licence for the role.
The successful applicant will be expected to study for and successfully complete a suitable professional training qualification. Although this role will be based in South Wales, the successful candidate will be required to travel to other sites as required to meet the needs of the busines
A competitive salary between £54,000 - £63,000 - dependent on capability.
