Job summary

Job description
Overview

Location: Shrewsbury

Salary: £29,000 to £32,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 39 hours per week

Holidays: 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays

Responsibilities
  • Deliver training on the automotive Apprenticeship Standard, including skills, knowledge, and behavioural components.
  • Coordinate off-the-job and on-the-job training with colleagues and managers.
  • Develop and update training materials and courses.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources with a focus on environmental sustainability.
  • Conduct timely assessments of apprentices' practical and theoretical work.
  • Provide constructive feedback to apprentices, helping them to improve.
  • Collaborate with the Learner Support Department to integrate maths and English into technical training.
  • Mentor apprentices, supporting their personal development and helping them reach their potential.
  • Maintain accurate training records and ensure compliance with apprenticeship programme requirements.
Requirements
  • Appropriate level of occupational competence.
  • Level 3 Qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • First Aid at Work Qualification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Satisfactory enhanced DBS check.
