Technical Test Manager, Automation Framework Design, SDET, ISQTB, Remote

We are seeking a Technical Test Manager to join a global Professional Services business. The role is based in Central London but is essentially remote, with occasional travel to London, Europe, and the US, for which travel and accommodation will be reimbursed.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in establishing Test Automation Frameworks from scratch. The initial focus will be on modernizing a significant desktop application into cloud and mobile environments, with potential involvement in other programs.

The role requires strong stakeholder management skills, capable of engaging with challenging C-Suite executives. As this is a global role, flexibility for early or late calls is necessary, and a non-traditional 9am-5pm schedule is expected.

Key qualifications and experience include:

• Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related fields (e.g., university degree), with vendor-aligned testing certifications such as ISQTB.
• Over 10 years of experience delivering IT services in complex environments, with hands-on knowledge of all aspects of IT Quality Assurance.
• At least 5 years in team leadership or management roles within IT.
• More than 4 years of experience in automated testing of software applications.
• Extensive knowledge of testing techniques across functional and non-functional areas.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in testing tools and standards such as ISTQB, ISEB, PMP, QAI, 9001, ISO, HP, CAPM, SILK, ALM, ADO.
• Experience in creating Quality Strategies, Policies, and Test Plans.
• Experience implementing quality management frameworks and systems.
• Proficiency with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, Azure DevOps.
• Experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, QTP, Cypress, LoadRunner.
• Knowledge of programming/scripting languages including Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, SQL.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices.
• At least 3 years of experience working within ITIL-based environments, including service delivery and support, preferably using ServiceNow.

Additional qualities include quick learning ability, teamwork, problem-solving skills, integrity, and excellent communication skills in English.
