We are looking for a confident and inspiring Technical Team Leader (TTL) to lead and manage a team of technical field staff within APHA, helping to protect animal health, safeguard animal welfare and facilitate International Trade. You will be responsible for the day-to-day effectiveness of resource management and will prioritise resource and workloads across the team for them to contribute to achieving delivery targets. You will be accountable for ensuing capability to meet performance expectations and your team's ability to respond to emergencies and disease outbreaks working within a matrix management relationship. This is an exciting, varied, and high-profile role that will also see you regularly liaise with our wider APHA colleagues, Policy colleagues and Operational Partners, as well as create a positive team environment in which everyone can and does contribute. You are expected to be a visible leader and ensure that a clear vision and direction is cascaded to your team. The role involves a wide range of work including, but not limited to, the following:
