The purpose of this role is to lead and manage a team dealing with third party property damage and bodily injury claims. You’ll have great relationship-building skills and share our passion for outstanding customer service. Your team's priority is to investigate and settle claims in line with the Company strategy, protecting indemnity spend. With a focus on continuous improvement, you will ensure the team's industry knowledge and skills are developed in line with the changing market and advancing technologies.
This is a hybrid role that can be based out of our Leeds, Chelmsford, Ipswich, Bournemouth, and Croydon offices.
Salary Information
Pay: Circa £35,000 per year dependent on experience. Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.
About You
- Full line management and accountability of team of experts; ensuring continuous development of skills and knowledge in chosen specialism.
- Builds strong relationships and influence across the organisation to ensure all business plans are met.
- Is a technical subject matter expert in respective specialism, able to use knowledge and experience to guide others.
- Owns and manages business-led projects ensuring team and company buy-in as well as effective delivery.
- Monitors, motivates, directs, develops and manages the performance of the team to ensure quality control, service delivery, daily resource management and cost control, and that training needs are identified and provided.
- Implements Performance Management, Salary Review and PDP processes for reporting staff.
- Devises, implements, tracks and revises short, medium and long-term plans to deliver against our priorities.
- Liaises both internally and externally building relationships with underwriters, brokers and suppliers.
- In accordance with both Company and regulatory requirements, ensures the effective management of customer complaints. Utilises Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports to provide feedback to staff and creates action plans for improvement.
- Assumes responsibility for Performance Measurement and evaluation of Management Information.

Qualifications
- Ideally educated to A-level standard or equivalent.
- Have or working towards ACII qualification (or similar).
