About The Role

As part of the EV Team, the Technical Surveyor will;

  • Be responsible for the surveying and engineering aspects aspect of the costing, proposal and implementation of all EV projects, working in conjunction with internal Drax teams, external partners, DNO’s TPI’s and customers.
  • Interpret customer specification and requirements leading to production of detailed functional design specifications.
  • Review and select accurate technology solutions for implementation
  • Carry out technical site surveys to ensure accurate design and pricing of EV installations and ensure that each installation is designed in the optimal way for the client from a cost and efficiency perspective
  • Ensure that all standards, policies and environmental plans are compliant with relevant legislation and met to the highest standards.
  • Be able to think outside the core Electrical discipline and integrate a multi-disciplinary approach into coordinated solutions

Who We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role you’ll ideally have…

  • Experience in installation, design or maintenance of EV charging equipment
  • Strong customer facing skills with the ability to communicate clearly with customer to understands their needs and to advise accordingly.
  • Experience of working on LV and HV projects alongside site experience (survey/install/setting to work)
  • Knowledge of ‘The Code of Practice for Electric Vehicle Charging Equipment Installation’ (IET Standards in addition to compliance with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
