Join our client, leader in smoke control systems for over 35 years. We're looking for a Technical Support Specialist to bring brainpower and experience to our support team

Location: Poole, Dorset
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Hours: Full-Time Permanent
Reports To: Controls Manager

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Provide expert support on smoke control, BMS, and life safety systems via phone, email, CRM, and remote login

  • Troubleshoot hardware and controls for installers, end users, and engineers

  • Translate technical issues into practical, easy-to-understand solutions

  • Support the field team in real-time when issues escalate

  • Log all issues and resolutions to build a knowledge base

  • Identify patterns and feed insights back into engineering and product design

What You Bring:

Essential:

  • Proven technical support or helpdesk experience

  • Strong electrical systems understanding - schematics, layouts, and troubleshooting

  • Confident communicator who stays cool under pressure

  • Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote tools

Preferred:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation

  • 18th Edition qualification

  • Experience with smoke ventilation, BMS, HVAC, or fire safety systems

  • Background in installation, commissioning, or field service

  • Knowledge of RAMS, PAT testing, and compliance
