What does the Technical Support team do?

Our technical support team is part of our customer services department, supporting a large network of both internal and external customers. With expertise in Randox’s range of quality control materials, reagents, clinical chemistry analyzers, and bespoke interlaboratory data management software, the team is the frontline of support for our end users globally. The team collaborates with regional Randox technical teams, so occasional travel is required.

Location:

Randox Science Park, 30 Randalstown Road, Antrim, BT41 4FL.

Contract Offered:

Full-time, Permanent

Working Hours / Shifts:

40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 08:40 to 17:20 or Monday-Thursday with longer days and a half-day on Friday.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Providing technical and applications support for all Randox reagent and quality control materials.
  • Handling and troubleshooting technical customer queries from local and international locations.
  • Providing product information and advice on Randox procedures.
  • Reviewing and analyzing performance data and comparative studies.
  • Training international staff on product and instrument use.
  • Using query-logging software to record and monitor customer and internal queries.
  • Developing extensive product knowledge across all Randox product groups.

Please note: This role involves supporting a global customer base, and international travel may be required.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, or a related Life Science discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility for worldwide travel.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
  • Experience training staff in lab equipment.
  • Previous troubleshooting experience with quality control materials.
  • Experience working in a similar role or laboratory setting.
  • Knowledge of clinical chemistry analyzers and related applications.
