Technical Support Officer (Office Administrator) EO

Job Summary

As part of the UKHSA, the successful candidate will support the Standards Unit in developing UK Standards for Microbiology Investigations (UK SMI). The role involves providing administrative and secretarial support, coordinating meetings, managing documentation, and ensuring quality standards are maintained.

Main Responsibilities
  • Providing secretarial and administrative support to senior staff, including managing leave and sickness records.
  • Organising meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on actions.
  • Acting as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting personnel activities such as arranging interviews and onboarding new staff.
  • Project managing national and internal meetings, including logistics and documentation.
  • Maintaining up-to-date files and supporting quality assurance processes.
Person Specification

Essential: Qualifications equivalent to QCF Level 6 or a degree, administrative or secretarial experience, data management skills, project management experience, auditing experience, and customer liaison skills.

Desirable: Strong organisational skills, ability to liaise with a wide range of professionals.
