We are welcoming applications for the role of Technical Support Officer (Leisure, Parks and Bereavement Services), on an 18.5 hour per week permanent contract - the shift pattern for this role will be Monday’s, Tuesday’s and Wednesday morning based at the Town Hall, Ripley.

The successful applicant will support the smooth and efficient delivery of the frontline business activities of the Leisure, Parks and Bereavement Services team by:

  • Providing excellent customer service when receiving phone calls, emails and enquiries regarding funeral bookings, as well as being the first point of contact to deal with general customer enquiries/complaints in a helpful, friendly and supportive manner.
  • Liaising with Cemetery staff to check burial dates/times/coffin sizes/grave numbers and locations in relation to the weekly burials.
  • Checking interment forms, ownership documentation and deeds from funeral directors/bereaved and processing details on the cemetery software system.
  • Completing data inputting on to various computer systems and maintaining accurate records.
  • Providing general administrative and clerical support, including issuing and processing associated orders and invoices.
  • Having a proactive and positive attitude.
