Overview

Technical Support Facilitator (Construction). Part time- 3 days a week

Good with your hands? Organised and tidy? Background in any of the construction trades? We're looking for someone super-organised to work across our Construction departments with a focus on Health and Safety as well as ordering and maintaining tools and equipment. You don't need any specialised experience / qualifications for this role, but an awareness of tools and materials and knowledge of Health and Safety would be an advantage. Whether you're a bit handy around the house, or have previously worked in the construction trades, we'd love to hear from you.

You'll need to be
  • organised and reliable
  • supportive, patient and approachable
  • happy to help students, with a great knack for explaining things simply and clearly
  • flexible and happy muck to in and do what's needed
  • handy with tools and equipment
  • sensible and pragmatic about health & safety
What you'll be doing
  • ordering tools, equipment, materials - keeping stocks just right
  • maintaining workspaces, keeping the building in tip top condition
  • preparing for practical lessons
  • supporting lessons by guiding students and sharing your knowledge
  • lending a hand in all trade areas within construction
  • maintain a consistent and effective approach to Health and Safety
