Technical Support Engineer

Help build and keep the nation's critical infrastructure connected and protected 24/7.

What you'll do:

  • Configure and replace datacentre equipment such as Cisco and Juniper firewalls, Cisco switches, Cisco and Dell server hosts while maintaining system operation.
  • Provide both on-site and on-call support for TPCMS with the ability to travel throughout the UK.
  • Proactively monitor the availability, performance, and security of TPCMS as part of a 24x7 team.
  • Address TPCMS issues by resolving them or assigning to internal staff (engineers) or external providers (such as suppliers of equipment).
  • Support continuous improvement programs for TPCMS and customer service by engaging with the System Management Team.
  • Ensure all Service Level Agreement targets are exceeded.
  • Support the transition of the TPCMS service to other parties through development and training of personnel.
