Rotating Equipment Engineer - Gas Turbine

Working within the Siemens Energy UK regional technical support team, as a technical support engineer, you will take ownership for the investigation and resolution of emergent customer issues relating to gas turbine operation. You will support projects for the development and implementation of long-term solutions and assist with planning and spares for breakdowns and outages.
How You'll Make an Impact
- Take ownership for the technical support of customer equipment, including scheduled and unscheduled activities and issues.
- Collaborate with customers and colleagues at other sites to resolve issues, tracking and delivering solutions.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues promptly and safely, supporting the return to service of critical equipment.
- Engage with various functions across the business to deliver excellent customer support.
- Identify business development opportunities and provide technical leadership.
- Support site visits for troubleshooting and surveys, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to assist.
- Proactively suggest improvements and upgrades to optimize equipment operation.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or at least 5 years of relevant gas turbine industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of gas turbine operation and service, especially Siemens Energy SGT and/or AGT lines.
- Experience with control systems such as SGT PCS7, Allen Bradley ControlLogix, AGT FT125, etc.
- Proficiency in problem-solving techniques, both theoretical and practical.
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic, customer-facing environments, delivering safe and robust solutions.
- Flexibility, good communication skills, and a positive team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to take responsibility and manage time effectively.
- Strong English communication and reporting skills, with cultural awareness of a global customer base.
