Monday to Friday

8:30am – 5pm (1 hour lunch)

Role

As the Technical Support Engineer in Stone, Staffordshire, you will provide first-hand support in diagnosing and troubleshooting IT issues, including hardware, software, system, and network problems. Your role is crucial to ensure the company's operations run smoothly.

Being the first point of contact for technical support (face-to-face, calls, messages) is also key in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Be the go-to person for all technical/IT repairs, maintenance, issues, or queries. Take ownership and follow through to resolution, escalating as needed.
  • Diagnose and fix equipment such as laptops, bodycams, tablets, headsets.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to the relevant team or IT partner.
  • Provide one-to-one advice and step-by-step instructions face-to-face, over the phone, or written.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • liaise with third-party IT equipment suppliers and the IT partner.
  • Oversee recycling and ordering of equipment, considering costs and efficiency.
  • Maintain a tidy and hazard-free communications room.
  • Upload updates to the internal system.
  • Support wider IT projects with the Project Manager.
  • Proactively seek process and system improvements.
  • Record all faults.
  • Assist with onboarding new starters, ensuring they have necessary equipment and setup.
  • Purchase hardware as needed.
  • Engage with managers and stakeholders.
  • Stay informed on market research, contributing ideas for tech and process improvements.
  • Attend bi-monthly meetings regarding the company's ChatBot.
  • Ensure external testing and cybersecurity measures are up to date.
Requirements

Ideal candidates will have experience in a similar ICT support role and a strong understanding of Microsoft technologies.
