Job description

An opportunity has arisen for a Technical Support Engineer with 5 years of experience and SQL proficiency to join a reputable organization providing software products for oral health services. This full-time role offers excellent benefits, hybrid working options, and a salary range of €40,000 - €60,000.

As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing tier 3 support and assisting with project delivery both remotely and on-site.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Documenting and tracking all support activities and resolutions.
  2. Installing, upgrading, and configuring client software remotely or onsite.
  3. Testing and validating technical fixes and system updates.
  4. Advising on maintenance and supporting customer-specific technical projects.
  5. Building and maintaining trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  6. Visiting client sites within Ireland and internationally as required.
  7. Developing a deep understanding of the organization’s software and systems.

What we are looking for:

  1. Previous experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Technical Analyst, IT Engineer, IT Support Analyst, IT Support Engineer, Technical Consultant, IT Consultant, 3rd Line Engineer, System Support Analyst, or similar role.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in an IT or Technical Support role.
  3. Excellent SQL proficiency.
  4. Familiarity with the software development lifecycle.
  5. Skilled in Microsoft Office tools including Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  6. Right to work in Ireland.
