The Job Summary

Wrightbus is the fastest growing production company in Europe, and we are looking for a Technical Support Engineer. To effectively provide technical support by phone and email, in the form of product familiarisation, parts information, specification queries and general remote vehicle assistance.

The Role

• Ensure all technical related telephone and email queries are handled daily in a prompt and effective manner
• Complete parts assembly breakdowns, to ensure all required parts have individual part numbers.
• To produce, issue, control and keep records of all service part information as required.
• Ensure the latest product manual information is kept up to date for all relevant personnel and customers.
• Ensure the latest defect resolution information is relayed to all relevant personnel and customers.
• Assist with service/parts enquiries related to new bus tenders and contracts.
• Log any all calls and identify training needs.

The Requirements

• 5 x GCSE's (or equivalent) including English and Maths to grade C or above, and 5 years out of the last 7 years relevant experience in a manufacturing/technical role
• Experience in delivering technical system information to customers/stakeholders
• Experience in handling technical queries by phone and email
• Experience of MS office.
• Experience and knowledge in the use of 2D or 3D CAD
• Experience / understanding of system classification, parts listings and BOMs
• Knowledge and ability to interpret relevant legislative text
• Ability to read and interpret technical engineering drawings
• Knowledge of and ability to fault find and repair components and systems
• Ability to keep accurate records and organised document storage
