We’re in the top 5% of utility companies worldwide when it comes to employee engagement and ranked as a Top 50 UK Employer on Glassdoor. Join us in making a positive impact on the environment and our communities, while being valued and supported in a truly inclusive workplace.

If you want to do more, because you care, we want you on our team.

LET’S TELL YOU MORE

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Metering Support Administrator. This role plays a vital part in supporting our infrastructure team, contractors, and regulators by ensuring smooth operations and a high-quality customer experience.

In this role, you’ll provide technical support by performing quality checks on contractor completions, reviewing permit applications, and supporting field teams with audits and scheduling. You’ll also be responsible for raising work orders and handling queries from contractor field teams.

You’ll champion continuous improvement by conducting desktop audits, monitoring performance trends, and providing feedback to drive improvements in installation and data quality.

On the administrative side, you’ll manage inboxes and trackers, maintain accurate data in SAP, and ensure GDPR compliance across shared areas. You’ll also handle complaints and insurance claims, maintain the Metering Field Complaints tracker, and support the team in achieving departmental targets and business ODIs.

You'll join a caring culture that collaborates to achieve, grow, and develop. Our employee engagement scores are among the highest globally in energy and utilities. That’s why, we value in-person moments to keep our culture alive and why for this role you’ll usually find us in the office during our working hours.

You'll be based at our Raynesway in Derby and you’ll work within our Data Performance Team. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, working Monday – Friday.

What we’re looking for

We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong communication and IT skills to join our team. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and be confident working independently while taking ownership of tasks.

Experience in the utilities sector, particularly within a metering function, is desirable. Familiarity with systems such as SAP, Temetra, GISST, and Target is a plus, along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office would be advantageous.

You’ll need strong problem-solving abilities, a customer-focused mindset, and the confidence to manage jobs through to completion. The role involves reviewing third-party work, handling escalations, and contributing to continuous improvement. If you're passionate about delivering great service and enjoy working collaboratively, we’d love to hear from you.

How we’ll reward and care for you in return

It\'s not just a job; it\'s a career. We offer benefits that reward great work and award-winning training to help you reach your potential. Plus, you\'ll contribute to the environment and community too. Here are some of our favourites:
