Job description

We're on the lookout for a Technical Supervisor to oversee the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of world-class rides, facilities, and equipment at a leading entertainment venue. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on engineering professional with strong leadership skills, keen attention to detail, and a proactive approach to preventative maintenance and compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day operations and ensure all checks, maintenance, and ride procedures are completed to high standards.
  • Oversee a small team of engineers and support staff, ensuring workloads are effectively managed and safety remains the top priority.
  • Maintain and improve ride uptime, delivering quick response to issues across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control systems.
  • Keep all systems compliant with statutory and regulatory standards, including ADIPS and internal safety frameworks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (operations, marketing, facilities) and external contractors to support ongoing projects and Capex work.
  • Manage spares, tools, stock, and systems (e.g. PPM via Planet Enterprise), ensuring resources are used efficiently.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure safe systems of work are followed at all times.
  • Provide leadership support, training, and PDP development for your team, helping them progress through structured training programmes.

Requirements:

  • Strong technical background in a ride-based or entertainment venue (electrical/mechanical).
  • Excellent working knowledge of preventative maintenance, safety standards, and fault diagnosis.
  • Hands-on experience with a range of systems (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, AV, HVAC).
  • Prior team leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Comfortable working across departments and supporting marketing and events teams.
  • Confident in managing contractors, compliance paperwork, and maintenance reporting systems.
  • Positive, flexible, and collaborative mindset with a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
