Position: Technical SQL Developer
Experience: Minimum 5+ years

Location: London | Hybrid.
Summary of the role.
- Design, develop and maintain high-performance SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions to retrieve and process data from multiple, disparate systems.
- Architect and implement robust ETL pipelines using SQL and SSIS to support enterprise data integration and transformation needs.
- Conduct in-depth performance tuning and optimization of SQL procedures and ETL workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Develop and optimize SSIS packages for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), ensuring reliability and accuracy of data pipelines.
- Enhance and support operational reporting environments, focusing on resolving issues raised by users, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of .NET/Window services and applications used for data transformation and load processes (preferred but not mandatory).
- Perform data profiling, source-to-target mapping and data quality checks to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate with analytics teams to translate business questions into technical data solutions, ensuring smooth delivery of actionable insights.
- Follow database design and coding best practices and participate in code reviews and peer programming as needed.
- Effectively document technical solutions, ETL workflows, and process flows for both technical teams and end-users.
Experience and background required
- Bachelor’s/Master's in Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field.
- Minimum 5+ years of Technical SQL Development.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL development, including complex queries, stored procedures, performance tuning, and query optimisation.
- Deep hands-on experience with ETL processes using SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
- Familiarity with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SSAS, SSRS is a plus.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a proven ability to solve complex technical and business problems.
- Demonstrated experience working in fast-paced, evolving environments with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, capable of communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-cultural, global delivery model.
