Overview

This role is open to internal candidates employed in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Leeds only.

Are you an experienced technical professional with a background in medical or biological engineering? Would you like to support world-class research in biomaterials, biomechanics, and tissue engineering? Are you eager to develop your skills in a collaborative, research-intensive environment?

We are seeking a Technical Specialist to join the team at the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering (iMBE), supporting experimental systems, maintaining specialist equipment, and providing technical guidance to researchers and students. You will play a vital hands-on role in delivering high-quality technical services to support research and teaching across healthcare technologies, regenerative medicine, and implantable devices.

This role offers the opportunity to develop your expertise in line with ISO 9001 quality principles as the Institute enhances its systems and documentation practices.
