Senior Principal Development Engineer / Technical Specialist

Working within the Development team, you will be actively involved in delivering and managing customer projects for future powertrain applications, as well as supporting the development of our team and its capabilities. The department provides consultancy services in advanced internal combustion engines, batteries, hybrid systems, low carbon fuels, and more. We seek exceptional engineers with an inquisitive and flexible mindset to support a wide range of projects. You will use your specialist technical knowledge to deliver projects and support the technical development of other engineers.

Performance & Emissions (P&E) Specialism*:

• Experience leading ICE development projects
• Combustion system layout
• Performance target assessment & setting
• Aftertreatment technologies
• Leading development of MPT’s P&E capabilities and procedures

General Requirements:

• Strong awareness of customer & commercial requirements
• Technical report and presentation writing
• Supporting sales activities and quote preparation
• An inquisitive mind with attention to detail
• Data manipulation & interpretation
